European Targets Achieved! |
| Date Added: 14th April 2008 |
In February 2008, almost exactly 2 years since opening for the first time, Aspire received a big thumbs up from the Government Office auditing team. The team of 3 travelled from Cambridge to check on the progress of Aspire in achieving the targets and core objectives as specified in the ERDF Objective 2 funding. In just 2 years Aspire has met and in some cases exceeded most of these targets. Notable examples include free business advice and guidance to over 200 people and 21 social enterprises. Perhaps the biggest achievement to date has been that Aspire has been directly or indirectly responsible for helping local businesses increase their turnover by over £200,000 in that time, with 15 people getting back to work as a result of Aspires’ intervention.
